Real estate is a topic that is important to Mainers (and Americans in general) because 1) it is a major contributor to both our local and national economy and 2) the investments that we as individuals and families make into our homes are some of the biggest and most significant of our lives! Where we choose to live, our physical home (or homes if you are that lucky!) is a major defining point in our lives, and when we make changes to our home by buying or selling real estate, it is a momentous occasion.

The State of Maine Real Estate is Good!

So here are some interesting stats about Maine real estate so far in 2015 to convince you that we know what we're talking about: Maine has seen excellent real estate growth so far in 2015. Statewide, we have seen a 13% increase in unit sales over the same time period in 2014. In addition, the Maine median single family home sale price has risen almost 5% over last year. Closer to home in Cumberland County, we have see a 5% increase in unit sales, while in York County the unit sales have increased 9%.  

And because this is the Team Harmon/Carroll blog and because we area a part of The Maine Real Estate Network we will also share that Since Team Harmon/Carroll joined The Maine Real Estate Network in 2010, Loni Graiver has continued to expertly grow the company to 24 locations state-wide with 475 plus agents. Furthermore, since 2010, the company’s market share has grown a staggering 231 percent! To put this in perspective, the next fastest growing company in Maine has gained only 34 percent market share during the same time period.
